EQUINE AFFAIRE Blackjack (Rum Brook Immortal Star) recently traveled to Columbus, OH to participate in Equine Affaire. He was one of three celebrity horses in the Youth Pavillion during the event. Along with RJ Masterbug, otherwise known as Hildago, and Nevada Joe, Blackjack spent time in a display stall and then once a day accompanied his owner, Ellen Feld, into the presentation ring. Ms. Feld talked about how Blackjack came into her life, how he wound up staring in the Morgan Horse series, and how he became a Breyer Model Horse. Below are pictures from the event. Everything Equine Blackjack and owner/author Ellen Feld traveled to northern Vermont in April, 2008 as guests of Everything Equine, a popular horse expo for the New England states. This event was held in conjunction with one of just four stops in 2008 for Breyer Model Horses Tour Events. Blackjack visited with many model horse collectors as well as fans of his book. He also had a very special visitor, Jim Douglas, the governor of Vermont! Yes, that's the governor holding Blackjack's model in the first picture, standing with Blackjack and Ellen.

BreyerFest In July, 2007, Blackjack and owner/author Ellen Feld traveled to Lexington, KY to participate in BreyerFest to promote the new Blackjack model. We had a great time, met lots of Breyer Model Horse collectors, introduced many enthusiastic readers to the Morgan Horse series, and enjoyed putting on a demo each day with Blackjack and his young rider, Holly Feld.
